What to buy, where to buy, how long to hang on?  These are all normal questions that come to mind when entering any market. Things that are seen and can be touched are always hard to beat in my books.  To find a great piece of land, lousy house, is perfect for investment as you will not be freaking out when using it as a rental property. It could be that you will decide to demolish the house and build your dream home.  What the land costs today will seem peanuts in 20 years.
