Keep your eyes open!

How do you find stuff?  Sometimes you are asked to go for a drive, and the first thing people tend to say is "where".  Anywhere the car takes us!  It is good to keep your eyes open and look at the signs along the roadside or just glance at the local real estate office for some ideas of price, etc.  Get a phone number and pick the persons brains to see if anything rings a bell.  Often land and houses can be tucked away down the side-road. Once we relied on the locals to tell us about their district, the prices, the future #plans the Council have for their neighbourhood; now we rely so much on the information on the internet as well.  I like both ideas.  The more information the better.  If something strikes a cord, follow your "gut" feelings and check the location out thoroughly before making a further move.
