What experience tells us

I have just taken a nostalgic visit to River Heads where, at the end of the 70's this place on the water with a high aspect looked like it had some long term potential. I had to see for myself how this little sleepy place had developed over the last 30 years.

Of course there was the old part where the initial development took place, and the new part where some really stylish houses are built having a tremendous view of the river and ocean, a barge to take visitors to Fraser Island, good size blocks, and about 18klms to Hervey Bay.

As I think back, I am not disappointed the contract on the land fell over (see another post), as land appreciates quicker when it becomes more accessible to highways, train lines, and major regional centers where work opportunities, educational facilities, supermarkets and the like do emerge much quicker down the track. In other words the investment grows at a quicker rate.
