Searching and thinking during isolation

So we are all isolated from our friends, have plenty of time to think and ponder, while looking at the surroundings!  However, we are not prevented from looking around at the areas that are within our future price range, or appraising areas that might suit as a future home or impress us as having potential as investment. Whilst searching around can be exciting and confusing the internet is very useful when looking at prices, potential, accessibility and so on.

The windows of real estate offices will be open and will display lots of facts, eg, size of land, prices of bare land, land and cottage, new versus the old, distances from facilities, etc.all of which are very helpful when searching.  Before starting out do some research on the internet.  It will be interesting to see if this current pandemic has affected the prices.

Chapter 7 is a good read as it talks about options, strengths, procedures for buying and selling, as well as first house buy versus an investment purchase. 

There are photos showing how a home can grow to suit over time, as more capital/cash becomes available; for example, one more family member comes along and one more room can be added when necessary. 

By the way, a timber home is usually easier/cheaper to extend or renovate. I hope this was helpful and it would be good to hear if it struck a cord!
